As you may know LWA has a book coming out in a little under 24 hours. We wanted to release this last 2 page section on how this book is going to be different with it’s technology and content. We think it’s going to be game changer. Check out the last pre-release “About this Book”
“Since we are in the idea spreading business and not the book selling business—we have decided not to pursue a traditional publisher. While we have friends in the industry and value their hard work, we feel that our admittedly ‘unorthodox’ methods of distribution and creating of content would have put us at constant odds with a traditional publisher. New ways of doing things has some admitted benefits: We can give the book away for free We can write and speak unmuffled It also creates some serious issues: Distribution depends on you LWA may die due to lack of funds But, despite the obvious risks, we are confident we have to take the consumer exchange out of this process. It is the right thing to do for such an important message. We risked hypocrisy if we had written a book warning of all the things consumerism causes us to forget—and then made you pay money to hear the idea. We get it.”
Although giving away our book is a big risk both financially and professionally, we believe that of we are brave enough to give a gift that took us years to write, design and learn—then people will respond generously. Perhaps this gift will spark our readers beyond a simple consumer exchange and a community of like-minded people will result. We’re excited for the future and for you to read our hard work. I love the concept. I pray that you are blessed beyond all measure imagined as you keep going. LWA comes to me through following @jesusneedsnewpr on Twitter. God seems to be reinforcing the same concept, borne out by other authors, bloggers, friends, my reading of Scripture.rnI love that you have consciously skipped the consumer exchange. and not because I’m cash challenged but because of the message being conveyed.
