What a beautiful expression of God's love. The more I look at the pictures, the more I saw Jesus, standing there, laughing, hugging and generaling rejoicing in His creation. Congratulations to the both of them.

this makes me not only grateful but more sensitive to my prior generations, realizing that they did not have the same opportunities as i. this affects our value systems as well. sometimes generations view each other negatively when they listen thru current culture filters. -------all to say, no more making fun of how i throw a ball!

i completely agree with you and think the focus needs to be on our feeling complete and not perfect. are we lacking in anything? ask our Father who gives in abundance. beauty isn't found in perfection but in the messy intangibles and workings out of who we are meant to be. embracing the process, having joy in our journey, submitting to the work to be done for our inner healing, allowing others to speak truth to us even if it hurts, believing we are still valued and not being crushed by what is revealed but seeing it as a surgeon's tool not a mobster's club. growth is beauty.

Wow...this is great! Very convicting!
My youth pastor, my friend and I were actually talking about something similar to this last week, though not specificly Christ in Christmas, more the "In God We Trust" on our money and Christ in schools, but same general idea. I do think it's important that Christ be kept in Christmas, Happy Holidays feels really artificial and weak. It takes the reason out of the season. I guess though, if I'm a true follower of Christ, I should know stuff like this will happen (Jesus told us that quite a few times, that we'd be persecuted and people wouldn't respect His name and so on) and it's not as big a deal as the majority of the Christian community makes it out to be. This note and my youth pastor have shifted my thoughts on this; though it's important to me, I say "Bring it world" when they want to take my Savior out of our holidays and currency and schools and the world as much as they can because like I said, it's important to ME.

If it's important to me, I'll let everyone know that it is. I'll never stop calling Christmas "Christmas" even if the world stops, and I'll do what I can to BE a true Christian. Serve others. Forgive people. Love without Agenda. Step out of my comfort zone and talk to people about my Savior.

I love this note. Thank you Spencer for posting this on facebook, I'll try extra hard on #10.
