In the beginning...
People were made to reflect the image and likeness of God. To be a person meant something important-you inherently had value. Jesus understood and lived this out-He was pattern maker-the Pattern of humanity. He came to earth to show us what that pattern looked like...to show us what it meant to be human.
Throughout the years that message-that people should be loved because they are people-and we are people-has been distorted. Garbled by the static of advertising, expectations, entertainment and materialism. The modern Consumer Mindset has distorted our view of ourselves and other people.
Lets not be so naive to think that we live thru this lens in every aspect of our lives-yet when we go to church-or talk about our faith lives-we drop all this baggage at the door...

Jimmy Spencer is a do gooder and social innovator.
He's the founder of the Love Without Agenda Foundation and its partner The Shema Movement-which work in tandem to catalyze and maximize do gooders & social innovators.
The LWA Foundation fuels and funds grassroots efforts of people who choose to do all types of good. These people are networked and partnered with other businesses, NPO's and volunteers thru The Shema Movement-creating a powerful glocal grid of people and organizations who Love Without Agenda.
Spencer travels, speaks and writes full time-inspiring people across the globe.
He has been a featured writer for Neue, a leadership community from the makers of Relevant Magazine. He's a faith based strength coach for Gallup Consulting and provides churches with innovative decentralization and neighborhood integration solutions.
Spencer is currently finishing his book "Love Without Agenda: The Art of Being Christian" and preparing for a series of LWA Workshops in 2010.
